I think they take their board in their kitchen area a little too seriously. It proclaims (Kitchen Rules - Take it or Leave it. Im leaving it.

Additionally there was a big tatooed gentleman with a Tshirt mocking vegetarians at the till. Saying " Every year millions of innocent trees are killed by vegetarians. Eat more Bacon". I found this extremely insensitive and rude especially in a place that might serve many vegetarians. Beyond the insensitivity of killing innocent animals for food when we have enough plant sources for all our needs, this was just plain insensitivity to people's food choices in a place of service.

I was happy to find they had a Hummus sandwich and a 4 cheese pizza. The prices were a little steep but I am always willing to pay for quality and good service. However one dish on the menu and a vegetarian special on the rare occassion got a little old ( this iseriously one of the only places in town I eat out at). I innocently asked if I can have the chicken Pesto sandwich without the chicken. The first time they did it for me. But every time since theyve told me they cant since they are too busy to make a fresh sandwich. All their sandwiches are pre made in the morning and they cant make any new ones. I was really dissapointed to say the least considering I was ordering one sandwich and not 50.

I was very happy to find a non chain restaurant in Kitimat. Also a place that seemed to support, fresh, local, organic and healthy food options. Being vegetarian I was hopeful this place would have some options and also be a little kind and make some allowances for people with special needs (not wanting to support the mass culling of animals for food is hardly special but i dont want to get into a 'Pro vegetarian debate").

I think im tired of the inflexible attitude of this place and steep prices. I like the few options they have to be honest. Its just that I dont like the attitude that " We dont have any competition and we can do what we want".). I dont expect this review to make much of a difference. But I wanted to give a shoutout to the unaware that this place isnt as friendly as it seems.

They were quite busy when I came in, and had a steady stream of people coming through the door. Large selection of cookies and pastries as well as sandwiches, salads and pot pie's. The seafood pot pie was a little expensive, but very good and worth the price. The latte was also good. I definitely see myself coming back here next time I'm in town. The salad I also had was good, and no animals were harmed in making it, I assume.

Went there today and was so pleased with the food, prices and service. A nice and comfortable cafe with a variety of seating options. I had a delicious chicken blt panini which came with salad and some chips for $10.50.
